Description of Calculation of Match
We give here the formulas how results are calculated and why in this way - to ensure the best transparency and to provide possibility to recalculate them. The voting on proposals has one suprising feature, which may not be seen at the first sight. There is no difference if the person votes against the proposal or absents. The proposal is usually passed if at least half of the present MPs votes for it. Sometimes it is necessary to reach some given number of positive votes (for example half of all MPs, including those not present). Anyway, there are not three possibilities how to vote - for, against and absent, but only two - support the proposal or not support it - and it makes no difference if the person actively votes against or absents. The only possibility to assume the neutral attitude is not to be present (and it only apply on the first way of counting votes).
Match with MP
Only the proposals you have not voted on enter into calculation.
- If you vote for a proposal, MPs who also voted for it are with you and receive a point. Those who voted differently (against or absented) are against you and lose a point
- If you vote against a proposal,MPs who also voted against or absented are with you and receive a point. Those who voted for lose a point.
- MPs, who were not presented (were not registred for the vote or were not members at the time at all), do not receive nor lose any point.
The points for every MP are counted in this way for every proposal you voted on. Than they are divided by the number of such proposals, which leads to match between -1 and 1, or -100% to 100%.
Match with Party
Only the proposals you have not voted on enter into calculation.
Match with a party for one proposal is an avarage of the matches of its members. The membership is considered according the information from the official website
Overall match with the party is sum of matches for the proposals divided by number of proposals you voted on. It is again between -1 and 1, or -100% and 100%.
The importance
You may set the importance to any proposal, the weight of the proposal in the calculation. The weight is de facto number of times the proposal enters in the calculation. And the result is divided by sum of weights.
The default setting is 1, 2 and 4.
